Important Weapon Stats
When it comes down to it, the best gun attachments depend on both the gun and player preference. With Gunfighter allowing you to have 8 attachments on your gun, it can be hard to know what is best for each. In general, there are some important weapon stats you should look for:
- Bullet Velocity
- Xclusive Ace made a video explaining this well. Essentially, higher bullet velocity helps with long range but also appears to help with the delay in hit detection
- Effective Damage Range
- As it implies, this is the range that the gun is effective at. Depending on the gun, Assault Rifles are typically around 40 and SMGs are around 15. However, Treyarch did just release an update that reduced the MP5’s Effective Damage Range by -33% to just 15, in order to balance SMGs long range vs ARs.
- Horizontal Recoil Control
- Horizontal Recoil Control is also referred to as “Recoil stabilization”. This is the control of the gun during a continuous fire, particularly at distant ranges. A more stable control allows you to track enemies easier.
- Vertical Recoil Control
- Vertical Recoil Control is the amount a weapon kicks when fired, the initial burst of fire. A strong recoil control is important for keeping the gun stable when working with the horizontal recoil control.
- Faster ADS
- ADS stands for “aim down sight”. This is the action of your weapon centering in the screen, allowing you to aim much more accurately through a scope. A Faster ADS allows this movement to be quicker, giving you the advantage in battle for more shots.
- Sprint to Fire Speed
- This weapon stat is very useful for rushing with guns like MP5 and allows your gun to pull up quicker so you can get the first shot.
