Dive Into Call of Duty Warzone With Season Five's Array of New Content

As we round the corner out of deep summer and into fall, it's time once more to welcome a new season of excellent new content. Season Five of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are finally here, and there's plenty of additional content to explore while we watch the leaves start to turn.

New Points of Interest to Explore
If you're ready to jump into Warzone, you can check out two new Points of Interest in Verdansk. Seek out new Mobile Broadcast Stations with plenty of loot to pick up, as they continue to change locations throughout each match. It isn't completely clear where you can find the other one yet, but know that it's "gone off grid" according to the official patch notes. You'll need to suss it out if you want to get to the bottom of and stop Stitch's nefarious plans.
Powerful New Weapons
You've got some new guns and other goodies to rain down terror upon your enemies with as this season kicks off: the EM2 assault rifle and TEC-9 SMG from Black Ops Cold War. You'll get them for free with Tier 15 and Tier 31 of the Battle Pass. Keep playing, and you'll also be able to snag the Cane melee weapon and Marshal handgun as blueprints and challenges you can obtain as the season wears on.
Customize Your Loadout with New Perks
Before you hit the battlefield, change up your loadout with two new perks. Combat Scout can be equipped for you to automatically highlight and then ping opponents as you lay waste to them with the weapon of your choice. Tempered is a park that reinforces your armor two offer 75 points of damage protection instead of just 50. If you're the type of player who relies on armor, this will be an incredibly useful addition to your arsenal.
Welcome Three New Operators
A new season of Warzone wouldn't be complete without the addition of new Operators, and Season Five has a few new ones you can choose from. Kitsune is an ex-hacker who's associated with the Japanese Yakuza, and she's aligned with the Warsaw Pact. Later on in the season, you can play with Stryker and Hudson, both from the Black Ops Cold War campaign, and both available for NATO players.
A New Face for the Gulag
If you're used to being sent to the Gulag in Warzone, it might look a little different this time around. It's been altered to now feature the arena taken from the Rush map. You'll have to take on another enemy for a one-on-one fight to the death when you're sent off to the Gulag, so memorize the location and get the upper hand if you can -- you'll have to do everything you possibly can if you want to live to fight another day.
