Tiny Tina's Wonderland - What You Need to Know About Choosing Your Class
In Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, you take on the entirety of a fictional Dungeons & Dragons campaign run by the diminutive diva herself: Tiny Tina. In her version of the popular tabletop game, Bunkers and Badasses, you start off by choosing a class for your character, which will dictate how you play the game going forward. If you want to be as successful as possible throughout your personalized campaign, you're going to want to familiarize yourself with what each one brings to the table.
So before you gear up and jump into this Borderlands side quest, so to speak, we've lined out the classes of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and what you need to know about each one before you start the game proper. Believe us, you'll thank us for this later -- the classes aren't exactly intuitive at first, and you'll almost certainly be left asking important questions later on.
Choose Your Twist of Fate
Before you choose a class, you'll have to select a Twist of Fate. These act as your character's back story. Each one allots bonus stat points to certain abilities, though it will lower others. Choose your Twist of Fate carefully and allot the stat points to the class you choose accordingly to compensate for your background.
Stabbomancer
Class Feat: Higher chance of critical hit
Action Skill #1: Ghost Blade: Throw a spinning blade that deals melee damage to nearby enemies.
Action Skill #2: From the Shadows: Become invisible and deal automatic critical hit damage. Critical hit damage is reduced.
The Stabbomancer is Tiny Tina's Wonderlands' version of a melee/stealth class. It offers an increased critical hit chance, and is best paired with stat points assigned to strength, wisdom, and dexterity.
Clawbringer
Class Feat: Wyvern Companion: You receive a Wyvern companion that can accompany you and deal fire damage to nearby enemies.
Action Skill #1: Cleansing Flames: Summon a hammer and bring it down on enemies to deal fire and melee damage.
Action Skill #2: Storm Dragon's Judgment: Throw your hammer, deal lightning damage, and deal additional AOE lightning damage per second where it lands.
The Clawbringer is a hammer-centric melee/gun damage class that'll appeal to anyone who's ever seen The Avengers, specifically Thor. You'll want to focus on spellcasting by investing in elemental damage stats with Strength, and make sure you kit out your Clawbringer with the best equipment possible for magic users.
Spellshot
Class Feat: Spell Weaving: Casting a spell or reloading gives increased spell damage that can stack upon cast and reloads.
Action Skill #1: Polymorph: Turn an enemy into a skeep that can do zero damage for a few seconds.
Action Skill #2: Ambi-Hextrous: Equip and utilize a second spell.
The Spellshot class is the closest thing you'll see to a generic mage/magic-using option in the game. Allot more intelligence and dexterity stats as well as wisdom to imbue your Spellshot with the most potential for spell-based elemental damage possible.
Graveborn
Class Feat: Demi-Lich Companion: A Demi-Lich companion floats by your side that can deal ranged dark magic.
Action Skill #1: Dire Sacrifice: Sacrifice HP to deal dark magic damage to enemies and apply dark magic status effects.
Action Skill #2: Reaper of Bones: Completely heal yourself and gain increased Leech Efficacy to absorb HP and deal dark magic damage. You will lose HP until you die.
The Graveborn class is all about dark magic and learning how to use it as it drains you of your life force. With that in mind, it's a good idea to invest in intelligence, wisdom, and constitution to keep yourself alive as long as possible.
Spore Warden
Class Feat: Mushroom Companion: A tiny mushroom companion joins you and deals poison damage.
Action Skill #1: Barrage: Shoot spectral arrows that bounce back and forth between enemies.
Action Skill #2: Blizzard: Cast a blizzard of frost cyclones that deal frost damage.
Love long-range damage? The Spore Warden is for you. You'll want to stay far away from enemies to keep yourself safe, but you can deal damage from further away. Invest in wisdom, attunement, and dexterity to play this class to the fullest.
Brr-Zerker
Class Feat: Rage of the Ancients: Activate your action skill and become enraged while dealing frost damage.
Action Skill #1: Dreadwind: Spin around and slash everything in your path with melee attacks.
Action Skill #2: Feral Surge: Leap forth to deal frost damage to all nearby enemies.
The Brr-Zerker is all about dealing frost and melee damage. As such, you want to be as powerful as you can to make the most out of the class. Load up on strength, attunement, and constitution if you want to take out enemies as quickly as they appear and freeze them out with your spellcasting skills.
